Hello,

I've been using the RAPIER-SKIN for years and I'm very happy with it.

After moving KODI to V20 Nexus and RAPIER to Vers. 13.0.11
"IMPORT SKIN SETTINGS" doesn't work anymore Sad.

The message "Your backup is successfully restored!"
but this is wrong (see Kodi.log file).Nothing has changed on the surface.

I've tried everything, but now I don't know what to do next.

what can I do? can someone help me?

Kind regards, ClausMM
Undecided what do i have to do, to get someone to answer me ?  Undecided
If it looks the same then what's the problem?
Hi Hitcher,
the problem is, that it doesn't look the same!

Image1: Rapier standard surface
Image2: my customized and exported Rapier skin

When trying to import this again from the "Rapier Skinbackup (2023-02-27 01.05.50).zip" file, the error described above occurs

The log-file only contains these 2 error messages:
error <general>: unmatched parentheses in skin.string(custom12panelbottomaspect,wide
error <general>: unmatched parentheses in )

Content of file "Rapier Skinbackup (2023-02-27 01.05.50).zip" -> "guisettings.txt"

In my defence that's not what I thought you said -

That's the problem.

After a "successful import" of my previously exported backup, I expect my settings to be active again.
Unfortunately, this is not the case.
The default interface looks the same as before importing.
Hi @ClausMM

Glad to hear you use and like the skin.

Apparently script.skin.helper.skinbackup is broken in the repo.
However, you can manually download and install a working version from this repo: https://github.com/kodi-community-addons...skinbackup
Hello @Gade
manually reinstalling script.skin.helper.skinbackup was successful and I was able to import my Rapier skin backup.
Now it looks the way I've been used to for years  Blush

Thank you for the tip and greetings from Berlin, ClausMM
Hi @ClausMM

I'm so glad we got everything solved.

I'll mark this thread as solved.
