Dear All,

I have an Android Sony TV and I have install Kodi (the latest version Nexus 20.0)
I have 3 external hard drives connected to my PC (running Windows 11)
Through Windows network (SMB) I watch movies which are stored in the external hard drives.
So far everything was working fine but some day I receive an "Operation not Permitted" error without change anything.
I uninstall Kodi from my Android TV and I installed it again. The problem wasn't fixed.
I tried everything!! Nothing worked!

Can you please help me?

Thank you very much!
this concerns "enhanced" security applied by microsoft on windows 11 to smb, there are already multitudes of posts on this here just search a little bit https://forum.kodi.tv/search.php
Dear Jepsizofye,

I search all over the forum but I couldn't find any help to my problem.

Thank you very much.
Thank you very much for your help!
Dear Jepsizofye,

I follow the instructions of the thread you gave me and the "Operation not permitted" error fixed.
But know I have an another issue.
I manage to add 3 external HDD.
In one HDD I have full access to all files.
In the other two HDD it's ask me for a password.
I have not entered any password in these HDDs.
All drives are sharing enabled and user is set to "Everyone".

I send you a photo to help you.

i dont have any more insight on this as im primarily a linux/android guy

all i can think of is on the windows side recheck the sharing settings for the drives which are not working and their sharing permissions and file permissions
Can anyone else please help me with this problem?

Thanks!
