today i got the error message:
General playback error
What could be the cause?
I use VBox Gateway. With Kodi 20.1
"Error message" as a topic title is not very helpful, as is "General playback error".
Such details are hardly a starting point to start troubleshooting.
What kind of video files are you trying to play?
Any chance you can pastebin a
debug log (wiki) of your device?
But that's the only error message I get. Sorry...
I get this error message when I select a channel to stream. It affects all channels.
Unfortunately I don't know how to create a debug log.

Do you also not know how to click on a link for providing a debug log that I gave you?
Try installing the Kodi Log Uploader add-on. That should be simple enough.
