I searched in the forum based on post title only and it returned 50 pages of results, none of which had vnc in the title...

I used VNC a lot to manage installations, and at some point I recall it was disabled.
However I am on Leia and I see there are 2 new major releases, is VNC now supported, as that would be a very strong reason to take the time to upgrade!

This is a question that is better asked on the LibreELEC forum...
AFAIK, VNC is no longer supported for RPi and other low-power devices, due to the new overall video driver being in place since LE 9 (or 10?) or so.

That would appear to still be correct at the present time.  Shame, but I understand the technical reasons...

I'm not using LE, but AFAIK it is NOT supported
