I am running kodi 20.2 on a fire stick and have all my drives shared from a windows 10 computer using smb insecure method. This has been working fine for close to 4 years.

I am guessing something has happened from a windows updated maybe that has made it recently so that if I go to play any video or update the library it cannot do so unless I reset the windows computer. It will say connection refused.

Anyone else with a similar issue or know of a fix?

I set shares on Win11 box to everyone allowed and no security, but i also still set up a password.xml in the /kodi/userdata/ folder with and entry for each share containg username (in full) password and ip address of the share, see below, one <path> </path> block for each.
