Why do I have to uninstall my custom addon and restart Kodi everytime to install an updated version?
I choose this solution because, otherwise, I would encunter an error when tryiing to open the zip file

What error? Could you post log?

I think the issue is having the same file name, if you install from a zip file with the same name as the older one, Kodi won't install it (unless you restart)

I, for example, every time I update my add-on I change a number on the zip's name.
