Hello

So when playing back 7.1 trueHD file using passthrough I get no audio and then when I exit the video to go back to Kodi menu all audio broken and need to reboot.
I am using a NUC11 and got my AVR connected via MiniDP to HDMI cable.

Here is log:
https://paste.kodi.tv/weyigapuho.kodi

First file I opened was trueHD and second file in log was standard 5.1 ac3 just to show logs after all audio is gone.
turning off passthrough works but I only get Dolby Digital audio through avr that way.
No one?

that was for 8.1 true HD over DP1.2 I have DP 1.4 which supports 32 channels.
not sure where in the log it indicates DP 1.4 but on reviewing i noticed this "Running on LibreELEC (community): nightly-"

https://forum.libreelec.tv

(note: the people on that forum are probably going to ask you to to enable DEBUG when providing logs)

logs wont show DP version my hardware is DP1.4
as far as Kodi is concerned it shows as HDMI as its miniDP to HDMI
will try over there but they hardly reply on there
this issue has the "potential" of being a driver issue, drivers being part of the OS and they provided the OS it just makes more sense to seek them out
plus being a nightly it has the "potential" of being a bug that either is unreported or is already reported that they are working on fixing

same issue on LE official
Yes - same issue from me here: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=375819

Optiplex 3050 with DP output (using a Benfei DP -> HDMI adapter). Non-HD bitstreaming works as does 7.1 multichannel LPCM, but HD audio fails.

See reply from fritsch:
Quote:Then simply disable DTS-HD-MA, TrueHD passthrough. Those are the only two needing that format in order to get all the bits IEC packed.
Nothing Kodi can fix. Low level kernel / adapter issue.
