Hi,

I created a custom submenu. I added 2 paths to it (2 separate buttons), I selected to open the oaths in dialog but it does not open in dialog it takes me directly to the add on.

Do custom submenus open in dialog in the home hub, or only works on the other hubs?

I've attached the image but it's literally been like this for days now

UPDATE : I'm not sure if this is a bug but i can only get the splash screen to display if i hand "hide widget initialisation behind splash" enabled

Absolutely amazing @jurialmunkey . Thanks again for all your hard work! Can't wait to try it out!

Thanks Big Grin

See this thread on github discussions for a couple of tips on transferring across the widget setup
https://github.com/jurialmunkey/skin.arc...cussions/1

Not everything is a 1-to-1 exact match, so you won't get everything transferred across, but it can get you at least partially the way there if you used classic setup (and should also transfer hubs fairly well).
Thanks! Sadly it didn't transfer anything for me. I was using categories and submenus everywhere.

I am also missing quite some stuff in Fuse 2 that I really like. Such as:

- actor info showing combination of local library and tmdb info
- alternate movie versions showing in movie info screen
- video codec labels
- and some other stuff

Of course it's still alpha so who knows what might happen in the future Smile Even though I suppose you will not continue development on Fuse 1, I will stick to that for now.

Will check on Fuse 2 now and then. Interested to see where it is going. Lots of luck with it!

Yes, if it is showing text only on the splash, then likely the skin settings haven't loaded at that time.

The multiimage control will be black until the setting containing your custom path is loaded into the control's texture path and Kodi's background image loader has loaded an image from it. If the splash screen finishes before that happens then you will never see a custom image.

You can see the background on the hide widgets splash because that only appears after Kodi has loaded the Home screen (and so skin settings have all been loaded by that stage).

Video codecs are show in the info dialog along with the label for the video version.

I'm not sure what "Actor info showing combination of local library and tmdb info" is referring to...?

Not sure what "some other stuff" is either! Rofl
@jurialmunkey thanks for explaining, is it recommended to keep the hide behind widget splash enabled?

UPDATE : unfortunately upon testing on the latest update the splash screen issue still persists, the window dialog seems ok now though, many thanks jurial

It's up to you. All it does is continue to show the splash screen until the first widget has loaded -- so it just depends on whether you like that effect of not seeing the screen until at least one widget has loaded.

There's no performance benefit either way - it's just there to mask the screen.
@jurialmunkey
probably been asked already but, any chance of a context menu or similar in movies and music to allow easy access to ‘update library’ for them without adding a home button or browsing a load of settings please?

also, and I know this is my ASD presenting, but any chance we can get rid of or have a toggle to remove the Kodi version under every widget row please?
Apple TV, with the latest update the back button from Home (Complex with Hub set as Home) no longer shows the Options and instead exits out, this means I’m stuck on Home and there’s no apparent way to reach the Settings
Can you not Putty in and edit the control config file manually?

It's been like this for so long, i thought it was just how it is.

Custom menus don't also work, is that a bug too?

- Ah yes I missed the codecs in the info screen. I also see the version label, but I especially liked how Fuse 1 shows all versions in landscapes and you can select the version there.

- Well in the movie info screen if you click on an actor and then info, it shows their bio. Below that it shows the movies they were in. In Fuse 1 you can have that show the movies in your local library at the front.

- Yes "other stuff" makes no sense. Sorry about that. I saw some other things but didn't want to make too much of it in my post.

Also I spend a lot of time configuring Fuse 1. So I guess I was just a bit disappointed that I couldn't transfer it to Fuse 2 and Fuse 1's development has likely stopped now. Having to redo it all seems a bit soon. I feel Fuse 1 is not that old. It's why I'll stick to Fuse 1 for at least a while longer.

Again, I'll keep an eye on Fuse 2 and when/if I do switch to Fuse 2, I will of course post any issues or feature requests on github.
I have set media in Kodi to open info, full screen info is excellent JM. When I open a movie that's what happens but when I "click" on a TV show it opens the season view then I click again on an episode and that's when I get the full screen info.
Question is, is that the way kodi works or have I missed a setting? .If not it seems counter intuitive as I'd like to see the show info before going into a season and then episode.
Loving the skin as a whole, appears faster and more streamlined than AF. Still like AH mind.
