Hi Community,
To improve your system, I checked another Notebook: an MSI 2010 clone: Medion 95600
Here I have a long delay (around 10 minutes). Here are the important lines from the safe mode:

I checked also with Ubuntu 8.04 and the boot needs around 6 minutes. So it is not an XBMC Live problem but an Ubuntu problem.
