I can't for the life of me get XBMC to connect to my iTunes library stored on my external 1TB drive. I've tried entering the path address ("ADD SOURCE") manually to no avail. Is this something I have to ssh into terminal, or am I missing some simpler steps? My setup is ATV, Mac Mini, 1 TB Western Digital drive.
I have a WD 750 GB, I sometimes suffer the same problem. Please be more specific of the Filesystem type/partition or not.
Did you try rebooting your Atv ? Sometimes my ATV misses one of my partitions and this sorts the problem:
ssh to your appletv.local
sudo reboot
Not sure what a Filestamp/partition is. Could you explain? I'd be happy to let you know.
Only problem is I'm set up to use firewire, not usb...
Only problem is I'm set up to use firewire, not usb... I've tried setting up an Alias folder in my "Music" to no avail.
Well that worked as far as XBMC identifying the drive, but now I can't seem to link said library to my player. What step am i missing?
Finally! I shut off "Library" which for some reason , I think was overriding XBMC from linking to to the new syslink folder. Or not. It's now playing my content, and scanning in all the album/artist info into the library. Last question: anyone know if it does this updating (album/artist) in the background? Meaning can I watch a video while it works or should I let it finish before using my ATV for anything else?
Hey Doc,
I've been trying to install nitoTV but havent had as much luck as id like 8P. When you say
Quote:You will need an image of 10.4.9 Combo Update in ~/Documents in AppleTV before you run smart installer.
Can you please give me the complete path of
Quote:~/Documents
please?
Thank you in advance for your help =)
im at work at the moment so cant confirm this but from memory, the complete path is:
/mnt/Scratch/Users/frontrow/Documents
If "Documents" folder does not exist then you will need to create it inside "frontrow"
