i searched the forums and learned how to play streaming radio through shoutcast but its really choppy after about ten seconds of playtime. i have cable internet so i'm not sure what the problem would be. any suggestions?

maybe you should take a look at your cache settings. and have you tried the streams on your pc? sometimes it's just the internet connection that's too slow.
