This thread helped me to get the sound work.

But when I reboot my XBMC Live on USB stick the sound doesn't work anymore. I tried alsactl, but I think it isn't saved to the image on the USB stick.

Is there a way that I can save the alsamixer configuration on the USB stick. I don't want to set the alsamixer everytime I boot Xbmc live.

Are you sure this tread should be moved towards here? I'm using XBMC live.

Sorry, I just figured out that the sound volume is low. So I don't need to reconfigure alsamixer to get the sound working, only to get it louder. Will a remote control be able to adjust the volume in XBMC live? I'm not using a remote right now, I'm just testing XBMC Live on my Notebook.
