When I run XBMC, I get a blank window.

Navigation works--can see some labels (see screen shots:http://picasaweb.google.com/jeremy.n.nas...eXSqhIS8Q#).

Would like to know if my hardware meets the minimum installation requirements, but not sure how to find out.

Yes, VIA doesn't support 3D on linux to the level we require. Any recent nvidia/ati gfx should be fine.
