Ok some background info.... been running 1.1 for years... just streaming movies etc to my xbox.... its a 1.0 xbox too if I remember right... anyways here is the log

I tried to update by just transfering over all the files... but it hangs at the splash screen

thanks all for the help... got about 5 more xbox to install XBMC after I can get this one to work

also meant to add I upgraded to the newest build from Tech

darn... nothing.... read up everything as I could on this board cant seem to find anything.....

If I remember correctly, this has something to do with locked Hard drive. Is your HD locked?

nope my harddrive is unlocked..... it was locked when I tried before... but unlocked it and had the same problem

Hmm.. Maybe your HD is not formatted properly? Anyhow, this is common of a locked HD or some other HD issue.

There are numerous other threads on this in the past.

Unlock it again and run the test again. Maybe the error is different after unlocking.
