Asked before, no answer. Such a pity: all works perectly but for the remote.
I use an IR receiver that translates IR into keyboard commands (it attaches to keyboard PS2).
Problem is that one keypress, about 1 out of 5 times by XBMC is interpreted as infinite keystrokes: the thing goes bezerk. Result: xtremely frustrating control.
Any other windows app : no such behaviour.
Can spontaneous keyboard repetitions be turned off somehow?
I tried fiddling with keyboard repeat rate and lag in control panel but no difference.
