.
I am sorry if I was not clear I am using an Xbox (And I new at this) I am not sure how to bring up the context menu using an Xbox controller.

rwparris2 Wrote:read a few pages back (i know it's along thread, but I do mean just a few pages) and you'll realize you don't want to enter a username & password.

I can play the files the plug-in works great. I find the navigation difficult to use when you have 100's of choices. Its easier to create a Queue with a computer and use my online account, then just select from my Queue from the Hulu menu. I could not find the post that would inform me on why I would not use my username and password.

I did have one other question. The "SVN Repo Installer" I am not clear what this is for. From what I read it looks like it is to list available plugging then install them (automatically?) I found this on my system in the "Program" section but when I click it, it does not do anything. From past posts it looks like this is how you would want us to update the Hulu plug-in.

Thank you;
Ray
Small update to remove broken stuff until I have time to do it correctly.
Code:
added: warn user & exit script geoCheck fails
removed: search option (until it is fully implemented)
removed: option to log in (until it is fully implemented)
FullMetalMonkey Wrote:Well i got the Hulu website working and streaming videos but when i enter my Username and Password into the Plugin it stops it from opening to the submenus. But without it you can view the items but not watch them so its a catch 22.

Is this true for everyone (i.e. username & password for hulu que just doesn't work) or is it because FullMetalMonkey was trying to do it from behind a proxy (i.e. not in the USA?)

Does it work for anyone inside the USA?

That's a relief.
It might be nice to append the output of 'svn log' to the readme file, but then again I have a hard time believing anyone would read it Smile

It works for me, and I live in the US. And I'll be working on the queue feed this weekend. the only drawback is it lists only the first 50 shows I think.
Great plugin. I do have a question about fast forward... if for some reason the video stops and I can't fast forward without the video basically freezing, is there anyway to fast forward to forward say 5 minutes at a time?

are you checking it on Windows or Xbox?

no.
Hi everyone,

I'm running crichton's Hulu plugin on the latest t3ch build (2009-01-25 SVN rev17349) on an XBOX. The plugin is working pretty well for the most part, but I've run into a couple of problems:
  1. H264 videos do not play at all. I've seen some other posts where people mention that the H264 videos play too fast or out of sync, but I can't get them to play, period.
  2. Occasionally, the plugin will download the entries for a directory, and then do nothing (i.e. not display any of the entries it just downloaded).

As a followup to problem #2, I see these types of messages in the logfile:

Code:
23:50:28 M: 28635136  NOTICE: urllib2
23:50:28 M: 28635136  NOTICE: .
23:50:28 M: 28635136  NOTICE: URLError
23:50:28 M: 28635136  NOTICE: :
23:50:28 M: 28635136  NOTICE: <urlopen error (10055, 'No buffer space available')>
23:50:28 M: 28635136  NOTICE:
23:50:28 M: 28635136   ERROR: Scriptresult: Error

I've seen some posts about this problem, and people have said "Edit settings.xml", but I don't see a settings.xml and neither does the plugin:

Code:
23:36:48 M: 39325696   DEBUG: DIRECTORY::CPluginDirectory::GetDirectory - URL for plugin settings: Hulu/
23:36:48 M: 39325696   ERROR: Unable to load: Q:\plugins\video\Hulu\resources\settings.xml, Line 0
                             Failed to open file

Here is the full logfile showing both problems: http://dpaste.com/118070/

Does anyone have any advice on fixing either problem? Thanks!
does this also work with XBMC linux or just the original xbox? Right now i do not have a source of "video plugins" in my current svn of xbmc linux. If it was added, does anyone know what revision i would need to upgrade too?
Try rwparris2 version ... It works on xbox, linux, windows .
to see your video plugins turn off library function
Video plugins show in library mode. No need to turn it off.
