I started to use XBMC as UPnP renderer for different UPnP media servers. Song, artist and video is working fine. But if I send URI of the jpg image, the xbmc flash on the screen that loading the playlist - even if it is just one picture - and nothing happen. I did not try so far the playlist with the pictures since I have problem with the server. But since it works for music (sending 1 song, or playlist) I would expect that for the pictures it should be the same. Is it bug or just misunderstanding of the concept?

BTW, I tested the same with gmediarenderer, and in that case it works as expected. I can send to renderer also one picture.

I've got the same problem. Using TVersity as a media server, XBMC installed on a Sony laptop running Ubuntu. Xbmc simply closes when "Pictures" is selected from the main menu. Reinstall via synaptics made no difference.
