I'm using Ubuntu 8.10, Catalyst 9.1 driver on a x1900xt GPU. Trying to build from SVN 17520 today.

I get the following error on ./configure

configure: error: ERROR: Could not find a required library. Please see README.linux

before compiling.

check line 227 and 258 of your pastebin

What is lGL?

Your google is broken I presume? May be safer to stick with the PPAs.
