OK, I've searched the forms for an answer and searched my whole system for multiple copies of the RssFeeds.xml file. No luck...

I'd like to add a new feed, but it keeps displaying the original.

System: New Mythbuntu installation with Linux XBMC (SVN) from the PPA in the sticky thread in the Linux section of these forums.

Is there another copy of the RssFeeds.xml file somewhere other than /usr/share/XBMC/userdata ?

Yes, ~/.xbmc/userdata. You may need to copy the template from the path you suggest. All user modified files should reside somewhere in ~/.xbmc. This includes configs, skins, scripts, etc.
