Watching a blu-ray rip over the network.
During, for example a slow panning shot I`m getting slight pauses every so often. ( ie the motion is not fluid )
The info is not showing any dropped frames though, its keeping a constant 23.8 - 24.05 fps.

any idea what causes this ?

I know exactly what you are talking about and it's driving me nuts.

ex: There's a section in the first of the planet earth series where wolves are chasing a herd and the shots are basically really intense horizontal pans.

Not fluid, especially with auto adjust frame rate.

The is becuase the video frame rate doe snot match the refresh rate you are displaying at. The Smoothvideo branch in SVN is where a solution to this is being developed. There is a trhead in the general section about it.
