It might be pretty cool if an application (script or plugin?) could be made that was basically a USENET .nzb client.

The reason why I'm posting this here is because I found this application for linux (the O/S not the xbmc branch) and it said it was a python application. Being clueless to all things python, and most things programming, I thought "hey! Maybe the python gods at xbmc.org could take this and make something similar in xbmc!!"

Just install sabnzbd+ and the sabnzbd plugin.

Thanks, I didn't know about that. Does sabnzbd work on the xbox platform, and are they available through the svn repo installer?

Okay, so I finally got around to looking up what sabnzbd is, and it's not a plugin for XBMC as far as I can tell. I was asking if it would be possible to make a plugin for XBMC that allowed downloading and compiling of files from USENET from within XBMC.

There is an XBMC plugin that allows you to control SABNZBD from within XBMC.
