? What do you mean by stable video codecs? XBMC comes with variety of codecs, stability is another issue.

Plugins evolve all the time...

In a few places:

* SVN Repo Installer
* xbmczone.com (see installer here);
* passion-xbmc.org (see installer here)

As for stability, most of the plugins/scripts are stable and some of them even under development as XBMC changes as well, so mostly depends on your verison of XBMC - use the latest releases of XBMC, but not alpha or beta versions if you don't know where you can find xbmc.log or what pastebin.com is ;-)
