Hi. This sounds great! Would it work in Eden? If so, which of the iplayer addon files would I find these codes in? Thanks.

First, THANK YOU for this superb plugin. Living as an expat in the US where TV is unbelievably awful, access to the Beeb is the only thing keeping me sane !

Second; I've got a couple of suggestions to make the plugin more user friendly:

thanks for the changes - however this isn't really the right place for them. project home is http://code.google.com/p/xbmc-iplayerv2/

Please do a fresh svn checkout of the codebase and open a ticket with a unified diff attached

http://code.google.com/p/xbmc-iplayerv2/issues/list

Many thanks

Hi, I've always had random intermittent issues with playback buffering, and have been trying to play with the librtmp "buffer" parameter to see if it would help. I've tweaked iplayer2.py to add this parameter, and checked it's in the right place etc by setting others like "start", all of which have the expected effect. "buffer" though seems to be ignored. Draining the buffer from full still seems to be only a few seconds (not even the 30s said to be the default in the librtmp docs). I can't find much info on it by searching around librtmp - has anyone else ever tried this setting?
Hi new episodes arnt showing up straight away when selected through channels or categories etc... But wen i search it brings the new epsidoe up along with rest of series. Is this normal or something wrong ?
Problem with Frodo on Linux and seek.

If I input a time (for example 25'00 forward) or try and fast-forward (which works perfectly on Eden...) things break.

So the question is, who is responsible for fixing this ? Is it a plugin problem (which I doubt) or a Frodo problem ?

D
Logs would be better posted to something like pastebin or http://xbmclogs.com/ - you would get more useful information if you enabled debugging also.

The plugin doesn't do anything when you seek, so you would need to report the issue to xbmc. However, it's likely a problem with the cdn/network and/or librtmp. there are issues with pausing/unpausing too, which is also a fault in librtmp or the way the pause/unpause is invoked from xbmc.
Would it be possible to setup an EPG style view for the iPlayer addon or is this not possible due to restrictions with the XBMC system?

mplewlow
That's skin dependant.

I Am not so sure on that. as the addon for "TvCatchup" has the same menu system for all skins (very slick btw) And from what I understand (and I maybe very VERY wrong) it is also "EPG style"

I Must say. It would be nice to have a system that displays all the extra info about a show. But then again, I am just happy the iPlayer works.
iplayer on demand works well on my RaspbMC - but the live BBC channels (Watch Live) are unreliable. BBC2 seems to be the most unreliable. Tested mainly with the akamai stream. Using xbmc-iplayerv2

I have no problems with the live streams using XBMC iplayer on Windows 7.

This morning BBC1, BBC News and CBBC channels streamed successfully on the first attempt. BBC2 attempted to access the stream and then stopped and returned to the channel list.

On the second attempt the BBC2 video appeared for a few seconds - but no sound, then RaspbMC rebooted. The same on the next attempt at 8:52. The XBMC.old.log for the 8:52 attempt is at:

http://www.xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=1046

I noticed a few others have reported a similar problem - but have found no discussion of the cause. Is this a particular problem with Raspberry Pi?

Using Linux 3.6.11 #1 PREEMPT Sun Feb 3 arm 61
XBMC Git:unknown RaspbMC version 1.

Have had same problems with OpenElec.

I assume that the reason for the problem is understood. Is there a fix or is a future fix likely for Raspberry Pi? Or is there a problem with my setup?

Thanks for any advice.
Addon saying today update available (2.4.18) but doesnt seem to be downloading.
were say that

i can not find 2.4.18
Addons section, enabled addons, iplayer saying update available, click update, sticks at 0%
gone back 2.4.17, must of been an error addon side.
