I have a movie called I'm Not There. It is a .avi file that is titled: I'm Not There (2007).avi. And the movie is definitely on themoviedb.org. (
http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/3902). However, I can't convince the scraper to recognize this title. It's driving me nuts. I tried going into the videos menu and messing with the title in the movie information option, but absolutely nothing will cause it to scrape this movie's info. Any suggestions? It's much appreciated.

Download one of the movie manager software like Media Info Plus (
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=47071) let it scan your movie folder, it will create a .nfo file that contains all the movie's information, and it will download the cover and fanart for you.
Then XBMC will have no problem adding it to the database
ALWAYS post a full debug log, otherwise no one will/can help you.
Slightly OT.. BUT: using external apps won't make XBMC better. We really should try to get the scraper recognition rate as high as possible.
Try renaming it to the IMDb id. It should be able to find it then.
