Aeon skin on the pc

Please can someone help when i play my avi movie it looks all disturbed and blury and discolored.

can some one tell me why this is happening, i had seen somewhere you have to use and external player like vlc, if this is true can some one please explain step by step how to do this, i have also seen someone say you need to make a build.

what is a build ?? can someone please help im about to go mad i really like this htpc all i want to do is get the movies to play right.

Have you tried changing the interlacing method(video settings while playing the movie)?.
