Hi Hans. I got the red-pill working on my Ubuntu box. There were some issues with passkey access but everything seems to be working now. Thanks for the script and I look forward to version 0.6C!
After I'm done ripping an ISO from a DVD, I get a confirmation message that says the ISO was created successfully. However, after I go to exit the script, I get an error that says that the script failed. The ISO plays just fine but I'm trying to find out why this error pops up. Here is the log from my preview-error log. Is this the reason for the error?

I installed your script in the proper location, when I select to RIP, it minimized XBMC. I maximize it and then says ERROR: Script failed!

I checked the dvdripper logs and this is what it says. I have version .6b

blue.txt:
create list of devices
calculate size of rip
cleanup
hstart.exe executed
blue-ends

ddrip.text:
RUNNING DD.EXE
ECHO is on.
ECHO is on.
ECHO is on.

any help would be greatly appreciated.. thanks!Smile
@cauzeneffeckt. Unfortunately I think luemmel has taken a leave of absence from this script. He hasn't posted on the XBMC forums in over a month so I'm not sure if he'll be able to help right now.

Please post a full debug log and I can try to look into it for you. Hopefully some of the other folks on this forum can help as well.

No ... I have a lot of work with a project in the moment

I write a xmltv scrapper for switzerland
Of course I do still work on the ripper

CU Hans

btw: In the above case a full debug log is needed ...

Ah, sorry about that Hans. I assumed you were busy with work or developing another script. Glad to hear you're still working on the ripper. Definitely the most valuable script for XBMC!

Would it be very difficult to add an option to rip a DVD to a folder with the name of the DVD movie (Fiddler On The Roof\VIDEO_TS)?

If not, could you pleeease add that option?

There are a few scripts witch should be adapted ....
With the windows version (blue-pill) I would have a problem ....
My Noteboook with a installed windows died a few weeks ago ....
On the new notebook I dont have any plan to install windows
as a secound system .... (running a windows xp / 32 bit on a
brand new 64 Bit system doesn't make any sense ..)

Cu Hans

Well thats totally understandable Smile
I am still using XP 32 bit since it's still the fastest Windows OS compared to win7 (it does take a little longer to boot, but everything else is just slightly faster on XP).
But if you don't plan to use Windows at all, I understand Smile
Has someone allready runniny my script with a svn-version with python 2.6 ??
Patches for possible updates to the new python engine would be welcome .
I still do running xbmc 9.11

CU Hans
Ok I had a lot of work with my own xmltv scrapper for switzerland but by next week I do start on the following things .

1.) Progressbar for transcoding-functions. The progress-bar was only inside
iso copy function.
2.) Transcoding Blue-Ray with the help of http://www.makemkv.com/
3.) New icons for the red-pill and blue-pill.
4.) replace dd with dd_rescue
5.) Optimize Speed of the scripts.

Regards Hans
This is great work. Keep it up

For tester on 32 bit system I created two debian packages ....

http://code.google.com/p/luemmels-dvd-ri...r&can=2&q=

Before you can install this two packages you have to install software packages ...

apt-get install build-essential libc6-dev libssl-dev libgl1-mesa-dev libqt4-dev

After this software is installed you download the package and install it with the command dpkg -i filename1.deb filename2.deb

A Beta key for the software can be found here ....

http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1053

I guess in a few weeks (2-3) the blue-ray support is ready to test ....
