likelinus, you can select the scraper that MC uses from the movie preferences tab, down on the bottom left....
You have a selection of use XBMC scraper & then you will have two choices, IMDB & TMDB
Cheers
bobrap Wrote:Tried patch3 and have same problem. MC is unusable for me now
bobrap, can you confirm you have tried the following steps....
downloaded patch 3.406-3
installed in a fresh directory
added your folders (rebuild movies - MC should do that automatically)
close MC
restart MC & test
If that works, then with your original MC install, after applying the patch & overwriting all files, you need to do a rebuild before closing MC, then a restart. The cache needs to be updated.

MC 3.407b Weekly Release
*** Important! ***
A movie rebuild & restart is required after installing this update.
Fixes
*Movie*
Actor cache path settings should now be created correctly after rescrape or recrape specific
*TV*
'The' will be moved to the end of TVShow titles when renaming if the 'ignore article' preference is enabled
Improved the TVDB log details for the stream type returned by TVDB
Right Clicking on a TVShow now gives the option to display episodes in a new window in aired date order - ideal to see where specials fit in to a series run
New Features
*Movie*
A new preference has been added that will prefix the Movie Title with the created date or the modified date if those sort options are selected.
Movie Batch Rescrape now works with the filters, so you can filter the movie list to apply the batch to just those movies
Sort lists are now displayed alphabetically on both the Main & Sets Tabs

Thanks again for the feedback on bugs & feature requests.

Oh well, tried the latest with the exact same results. Movies not getting all the data and then I can't exit the program without the three finger wave.
Same problem here, bobrap. I get an unhandled exception and the only way out is to kill it through the task manager.
Sorry if this has been asked already, but is there a way to eliminate the "min" in the Runtime section? It shows up as "90 min minutes" in XBMC...
Thanks.

Ok, I'm still confused. I have NOTHING that says XBMC in the lower left of the selections menu. I also have more than two choices.

I have themoviedb.org, IMDB, Internet Movie Poster Awards, Movie Poster DB...and then the list just starts over again. I have two of each. What is odd is that I had only 1 of each (4) and then I changed it to moviedb.org and then all the sudden 4 showed up. Also this is for POSTERS. What I'm talking about is for FANART (i.e. backgrounds).
Any ideas?

likelinus, the version you are using is 3.400.....
Although it is classed as stable, it was pre-xbmc scraper implementation...
We have added quite a lot of features & bugfixes since 3.400
Latest version is the weekly, 3.408b....(see next post...
)
Cheers
Some minor fixes.....
* Fixed messagebox coming up during batch scrape
* Added <originaltitle></originaltitle> to movie nfo's - when a new movie is scraped, the original title will be set as the returned title. The end user can of course change the title in MC, however the original title will not change. The original title can be seen by hovering over the movie title in the right pane of the main movie tab. To update all of your current nfo's to add the original title the same as your current title, rebuild movies to load MC with the current nfo information, then rebuild nfo's & rebuild movies again to load the new information.
* Fixed a unicode display issue of some characters

LakersFan, there is a setting in General Preferences, Save media runtime as numeric only
Is there a hidden option somewhere to enable higher resolutions posters? I can't seem to get any high resolution images
Doesn't exactly sound like the issue I was having, i tried browsing for fanart myself on a couple of movies and tmdb would never return any results and the rest had a relatively low resolution <500 pixels width
Can't test for sure now since the program is spouting out unhandled null reference exceptions currently

ugh, well that explains a lot. I was wondering why the heck I couldn't find what people were talking about and it wasn't functioning the same!! Let me download the beta and see if I can get it to work.
Thanks for all your help. I'll keep you updated.
