I'm new to XBMC, but didn't see an easy way to exclude a file type from the Pictures source. I would like to exclude the .NEF extension as those files are stored in the same folders as their .JPG counterparts. Is there a way to do this?
you'll have to create a file called advancedsettings.xml and put it into your Userdata folder. here's what to put in that folder as well as a more detailed description of how the advancedsettings.xml works: http://www.xbmc.org/wiki/?title=Advanced...ensions.3E
That's exactly what I needed to know. I continue to be blown away by the depth of XBMC.
you're welcome. i used the add feature when I wanted to add the thumbnails, which are .tbn, to the pictures source so I could see which ones were safe to delete.

the customization of xbmc never ceases to amaze me.
