Hi

I've got a problem with tags in music files (mp3 and flac)
Setup: Skin: PM3.HD,
View: Media Info

The tags will read:

Album: Unavailable
Genre: ndtrack/ (i.e. the first 3 letters are removed and a slash is added)
Year: Unavailable

Files are tagged with Tag & Rename 3.4.6
Music-files are placed on a DLNA server Twonky 4.4.17
XBMC ver.: XBMC_for_Windows-9.04.1-repack2.exe

Kimm
I suspect the UPnP client sets the tags, so it could be a client or server bug, or something else.

I presume you've tested it in some other UPnP client to rule out some server bug?
Hi jmarshall

Thank you for your quick respons.

I have tried:

Software on Wintel (XP SP3)
- Winamp + On2share
-> the tags are OK (But the system are a bit unstable)
- Twonky Media Manager
-> the tags are OK (But the TMM are slow and sluggish)
- Cidero
-> Shows the genre (Album and Year are not present in list) (But this is only a Control Point)

Dedicated devices:
- Philips Streamium -> Shows Album title and you can search in Genres
- D-Link Media Lounge -> the Tags are OK

... so I guess that the NAS (QNAP TS-409 / Twonky 4.4.17) works.

Additional the server presents Genre as a main sorting option and it works under XBMC.

Hi,

I can confirm this behavior in my environment. I'm using XBMC with a ReadyNas Duo streaming solution. If I browse by genre in XBMC the tags are used correctly. Only the media info panel and the song information are incorrect.
