Is it possible to copy an XBMC installation between platforms directly? I'm aware of the export library function, but that has 2 issues. Firstly it does not include thumbnails and fanart. Secondly it seems crash with the size of the video library on my xbox - it gets around halfway done before this:

17:35:29 M: 32919552 ERROR: CVideoDatabase::ExportToXML failed

And no XML file is created.

Is it possible to simply copy the UserData directory to another installation of XBMC, or is there some other function for exporting everything?

This question has been asked tons of times, please do a forum search for "share userdata" or similar.

Just for the record.. It will export thumbs and fanart if export to separate files is selected and the movie/show directories are writeable.
