Revo R3600 - ubuntu 9.04 - xbmc

mp3 - OK
avi - sound effects and music - OK | speaking - No sound at all (Xvid - All OK) (x264 not OK)
mkv - sound effects and music - OK | speaking - No sound at all (some one all sound works, but very little volume)
vob - sound effects and music - OK | speaking - No sound at all

Audio Output: Digital
AC3: On
DTS: On
Audio Capable Device: hdmi (tryed plughw:hdmi and plug:hdmi)
Passthrough Output Device: hdmi
Downmix: On

alsamixer:

Master and PCM are both 100%
Master is un-muted, PCM mute/unmute is not an option here.

Any ideas??
