I have a set of component video cables that came with a used soft modded xbox I just bought. Everything works great with RCA cables but if I use the component cables the picture is scrambled on both the EvolutionX dash (v 3935) and XBMC.
Any Ideas?

You've probably enabled an HD res that your TV doesn't support, and/or are running a PAL Xbox. Please do your research on xbox-scene.com, solutions to this "problem" have been floating around for some 8yrs now.
