Full Version: Question about NFO files and media scanning

Am I correct in thinking that if XBMC encounters a folder with valid .nfo files that it's behaviour will be to scan all the valid .nfo files and ignore any media unaccounted for in the .nfo files? This is what it seems like it's doing.

I'm running into problems since starting to use Media info Plus to scan and scrape my tv show collection. Between XBMC seeming to follow the above behaviour and MiP not overwriting existing .nfo files (scene release .nfo files), I am getting missing shows. Anyone come accross the problem and have a good solution? I don't really want to go back to letting XBMC scan and scrape itself, as I've got 3 XBMC boxes in the house and it's a waste of resources for each one to scrape and 3 times as much work to make database corrections....

Thoughts anyone?
