I'm pretty new to XBMC, but from my home screen both video and movies leads me to the videos section.
Is that supposed to be like that or ??
Depends on the skin (which you failed to mention) as well as the settings of said skin.
Movies should take you to your movies in library form, and the videos should take you to your videos in file form.
If you've changed the settings of whatever skin you've not mentioned, it is possible they'd take you to the same place.
But without any info it's hard to speculate.
Sorry ... I use the MediaStream skin for now. How do I change the destination of the menu items on the home screen ?
you'll have to scan your movies to the library first.
