Full Version: [LINUX] Backdrops and slideshow folder on NAS?

Searching for backdrop, remote, samba etc in all sorts of combinations hasn't yielded the answer to this...

I have a NAS (Qnap) with inbuilt NFS and Samba servers. I've successfully added Video, Movie, Music etc sources using the NFS share.

However I don't see any option to point to the NFS share (or Sambas for that matter) for the slideshow folder, or the backgrounds used by the HD skins.

Not sure if this is something which can be achieved via xbmc, or via Ubuntu itself as I am, alas, a total noob. I suspect I haven't found the answer myself due to not being sure how to ask the question correctly (i.e. google the relevant terms).

Any help, guidance appreciated.

thanks, Paul
Yep, this was a user error....

I had mounted my NAS in a folder higher than the home folder. Mounting in a more sensible place made it visible in all xbmc dialog boxes.

cheers
