Frodo support is truly a welcome sight, many thanks for all the effort put in. Have we got an alternative location for the Frodo release? don't like the idea of giving my mobile number out?

You don't need to. It's just a pop up page, mine had a small red x in the top right corner. Click that and the download page is behind. (Had the same problem myself!)

I changed the download link to dropbox instead of the crappy file dump site.

This is great, thank you!
Is there a plan or release date for Frodo version?

Thanks for the modified version for Frodo, but the most important feature for me is the genre manager.... And it doesn't work. Confused
Edit: Nevermind, I get it now.

Thanks for the Frodo update! So necessary!
Does anyone know if slash is still working on his version of Frodo XWMM? Or was this handed off to a new developer?
It would be great if it was possible to select more than one movie and then set them all as "watched" in a single action instead of having to step through each one.

Ctrl-Click or checkboxes would probably be the easiest way to solve it.
I sent to Slash a private message, Monday 11 March 2013 as follows - no response till now!

Hi Slash,

We are waiting for your upgrading the XWMM to Frodo 12.

Do you have any timetable when are you going to do it? Huh

regards,

Roby Nod
I dont think slash has the time anymore, last time slash posted here was last year iirc and a year before that last updates by slash to this project. I think this is a dead subject.

Zernable has done some updates so it works with frodo, but some features dont work (the ones most ppl want) and so far thats it, so consider yourself lucky somone still partlially cares about xwmm

see http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1338701

As for slash only he can say but my bet is, we not going to see anything soon or at all.

[rhetorical] I am always wondering... those people who don't use xwmm. what do they use? [/rhetorical]

^ I rarely respond to rhetorical statements, but as you are a fellow Montréalais, I must.

I suspect most people do what I did before I discovered this plug-in: Just use a media manager, and not directly edit the database. It's not so bad. For mac, I highly recommend ViMediaManager. It's free and is designed with XBMC users in mind.

@ Zernable please see https://github.com/uNiversaI/XWMM/tree/Frodo

I Forked slash XWMM repo created a Frodo branch and merged all you work into there.

If you join in github feel free to clone that from me as I have no use for it or I can give you permission to make commits and changes to my fork Im not contributing code (because I cannot code) just a few nudges here and there..

I cant do anything else but what I done, I cant code or fix anything, but hope this will contribute to keeping project alive.

Also Submitting a PR to Slash with fixes so everyone is up-to-date see PR https://github.com/slash2009/XWMM/pull/7

My negligible contribution to a good cause. I hope Zernable can take this as a push in right direction and if he decides to continue work consider Github.

Edit

Made a download link and added readme so its accessible from github.

Added a new icon I made a while back for this.

uNi.
Thanks uNi. I'm completely new to Git and had to do a lot of reading just to get my own local clone of Slashes repository created. All my changes were done using multiple commits against my local clone. While I don't have the time to do anything further with XWMM at the moment, perhaps in the not-to-distant future I will.

Unfortunately, my Javascript ability is lacking and getting the remaining features functional requires more complex changes than just converting SQL queries to JSON. That's why I didn't get everything working initially.
If you use windows the github has a nice tool (http://windows.github.com/ or Linux http://stackoverflow.com/questions/15167...-for-linux) which lets you edit files on a local drive, most of the changes can also be done online with 99% of no git commands used via web browser (must have github account and be signed in. (for both web browser and windows tools.)

I dont think anything via git I done used pure command line so far. Including cloning creating branches and editing files. its been 90% web browser and 10% windows tool.

Anyway if you sign up at github I can add you as a collaborator and you can see how simple it is via web browser, even doing PR's.
