I was wondering if it is possible to use XBMC as a normal video player. As in: you double click on a video file in (for example) Nautilus and it opens in XBMC and starts playing.
I tested it by opening a video file from the command line, a simple "xbmc video.avi", but that results in a segfault.
Is this supposed to work in XBMC? And if not, should XBMC not at least just start up without playing the video, instead of crashing?
I'm using 9.11 alpha 1 on Ubuntu 9.04 with default settings. If needed I can post the crash log here or on trac.
