I just upgraded my perfectly working 9.04 to 9.11A2. I tried A1 but it had alot of problems. After the upgrade to A2 I have not been able to update my video library.
After a couple of retrys, I deleted my video DB, then I set content - TV shows - automatically scan all

The problem is new with this version of XBMC.
