I setup 2 machines with xbmc and on one I managed to get the 'library mode' working. on the other nothing i did seemed to help to enable library mode.
SO, in desperation I copied 2 folders to the other non functioning pc and now everything is working perfect.
one folder is .xbmc/userdata, the other is .xbmc/plugins/video/
where all the plugins reside.
running ubuntu linux and so far this is a very nice program but a little difficult to figure out

this explains how it is supposed to work. All i can think is something was screwy on the other pc.
are there any key steps hints to take to help figure it out better?
