Hi,
I need your help to fix my 5.1 audio in my setup (xbmc svn, jaunty, no pulseaudio, optical output, asus p5n7a-vm so onboard nvidia chipset). I have tried a couple of 5.1 files (wma or ac3) and both have all channels mixed up, specially the rear ones that either no sound or sound in the front speakers. The same file in my xbox360 sounds alright so i guess my htpc is not working.
I removed pulseaudio following this guide. In any case I removed the pulseaudio package and always compile xbmc with --disable-pulse so i guess I am using alsa.
Here is a log of xbmc playing both files.
Any ideas? Could someone please try the test files and tell me if they get their channels right through spdif?
