I've tried to use XBMC alpha2 as upnp client of dvbviewer recording services 1.5.0.31. Configuration is ok but viewing the stream have this behavior:
- Select channel for first time: ok
- Change channel: xbmc stops responding

If xbmc doesn't stop none is displayed and changing channel again produce the hang or a xbmc message "too many errors".

Same behavior with "repack2" windows release.

Any idea? Thanks

I tested either the Beta 2 release and founded same problem.

Developers can find xbmc 9.11B2 log in: http://pastebin.com/m4f42bfa2

Platform: Windows 7, XBMC 9.11B2 fresh installation only upnp video server configured

Step used to produce log (start form a preconfigured upnp dvb source)
- Open upnp source in video menu
- navigate into channels list of upnp source
- selected a FTA channel (RAI1) -> show ok
- backspace to re-activate channel list
- selected another FTA channel (RAI2) -> no show
- exit xbmc

The upnp server is "dvbviewver recording service 1.5.0.31". I tested it pon same platform using windows media player 11 as upnp client and all is working.

Ask if further tests or information is needed.

Thanks
Same problem for me with XBMCLive 9.11 Beta1 !
XBMC 9.10 r24059 for windows works fine!
Is the upnp client in XBMC working for someone with 9.11 Beta 1?? Or is it broken?
added info and log in first post. thanks
Same here, just testet with XBMCLive 9.11 Beta2 and still the same problem
Tested again with 9.11 but again same problem. I'm available for testing pls contact me if you want specific information.

Some further information: in my tests (and in tests of other users that i know) xbmc 9.11 (all flavors alpha, beta and stable) runs well on first activation (first channnel) and then stops on channel change (all tests are done on FTA channels - RAI1 and RAI2 italian broadcasting).

On debug log it seems a problem that occur starting render of the second channel - that is:
Select first channel RAI1 -> get stream for RAI1 ->start render RAI1 -> ok
Select secondo channel RAI2 -> stop render RAI1 -> get stream for RAI2 -> start render RAI2 -> ko (either video and audio)

A "strange" thing is that, when you select the second channel (RAI2) xbmc show a popup "changing channel to RAI1" but this seems e minor bug about channel name (current one instead that the new one).

Regards and Happy New Year.
(omissis) I can't understand where's the problem! I and a friend tested xbmc 9.11 with confluence in fresh install and followed exactly the actions you describe but on channel change (after 5 to 6 second just to change channel) xbmc stop render (you can view the exact sequence in my previous post).

In the debug log (you can find the entire log here: http://pastebin.com/m4f42bfa2) on channel change you can find:

that seems to show a problem in stream format recognition.

While on first open of a channel the log fragment is:

that shows a correct stream format detection.

(omissis)

Again: what do you means with "As Lars has mentioned the upNp function is enabled with IP slot left blank at the port 8889": in recording service 1.5.0.31 IP slot can't be blank because it's a predefined list. I selected the IP address of my network card (not the skystar ip address to be clear ;-) )

(I'll post this either on xbmc forum hoping in a feedbak from developers :-) )
Tested with latest Boxee (boxee-0.9.20.1026.exe)

Works just fine!

With latest XBMC (xbmc-9.11.exe), it seems to not stop the previous stream when opening the new stream, or just plain incorrect reading of the .TS
have u tried http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=454...stcount=13 , i dont know how to compile, hope someone soon can fix this

I'm sorry but i'm not able to compile xbmc, i hope that developers get the correction and include it in a next svn. It's almost clear that this behaviour is a bug and rather documented Nerd

Developers... please fix it Wink

Thanks.
+1
I too would really like to see this fixed!

Can anyone look into this and compile?
Any news about this issue?
