Is it not working for me cause my music is on a network shared folder?
Are you willing to fix this please? I think lots users have their music on a nas or server..

(2012-10-20, 10:31)GEHowe1 Wrote: [ -> ]I also have my music library on a NAS - appreciate understanding why Lyrics does not work on a NAS and if there is a plan to add this functionality.

Many Thanks

I'll test if have problem with NAS and try to fix it.

Any luck with it?

Gonna use frodo then, will you bring out a version?
Taxigps, will youbring out a new version then so that it works gor nas under frodo?
I just love this plug-in, and it works perfectly. I've been trying to tweek the script-XBMC_Lyrics-main.xml to show less lines of lyrics, yet keep the current orange lyric line centered, but have been unsuccessful. When I shorten the vertical height of the window the lyrics are in, it simply moves the current line up. What am I missing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First I modified the musicvisualization.xml for the skin, but then realized the lyric script file was probably what i needed to mod. But I still could not get less lines of lyrics, while keeping the orange current lyric line centered vertically.

It's source code, not add-on install file. You should unzip it and copy right files to your addon folder. Or try install zip file here: http://dl.vmall.com/c0upmqbh2f

Hi I'm doing the same thing. I wanted it to display in the bottom right and I stumbled on the same problem. I want to display 7 lines and I figured out which code to change to get it to center again.

You need to tweak the <posy> tag on line 108, 122 and 135. It can be a line above or below, because I added some lines to the code.
Mine is now set to <posy> 50 and it centers the current highlight when you want to display 7 lines(height of text box 200), but you can tweak it anyway you like.

Anyways, I hope this will do the trick for you. Wink

[edit1]
I have an other problem though Tongue I can't get the up/down buttons to go down on the y axe... It only moves the visual line bellow the buttons.
Any help is appreciated .

Solved!
Answer: Edit the <posy> on line 151 +- (Under the "Default spincontrolex" description)

[edit2]
I would also like to do a feature request. I think it will be handy if we would be able to sync un-synced lyrics. It's probably not that hard to code. It's only a time stamp on the current selected line. Like the way minilyrics has a lyrics editor and you can press f7 I think to insert a time-stamp.

Hi, taxigps, would you mind also do some research on embedded lyrics for both mp3 and m4a files?

呵呵,私心了,手头有好多apple的音乐文件内嵌歌词的。

The two standards in id3v2 that are relevant are SYLT (synchronized lyrics) and USLT (unsynchronized lyrics).

You can see the id3v2 definitions here:
http://www.id3.org/id3v2.4.0-frames

It's easy to generate test mp3s with either of these by using the program MiniLyrics, an add-on for just about every Windows media player. If you play any popular song in your media player with it installed, it can automatically find and embed either the SYLT or USLT lyrics.

(2012-09-15, 23:51)hatchetharry Wrote: [ -> ]Do I get it right that this add-on can display lyrics embedded in mp3 tags? So far I only managed to display lyrics from lrc-files. But I have 16000 mp3s, 80% of them having lyrics in the USLT field. What can I do to let them be displayed? (What does "TXXX" mean, couldn't find helpful explanations? Should I transfer my lyrics from USLT to another tag field? Or are you still looking for test files?)

Cheers harry

Need a sample mp3 file having lyrics in the USLT field to test.

Update to v1.4.5:
added: embed lyrics support for Lyrics3/Lyrics3V2/SYLT/TXXX(Lyrics)
added: use chardet to detect lyrics encoding

Thanks Skank for the sample file.
Youre welcome
Is this new source code file integrated in v1.4.5 too?
Or is 1.4.5 integrated in the new source code file?
Or are both separate versions since the source code is for frodo?

1.4.5/1.4.6 for eden, in source code branch eden, not support nas share.
source code support frodo is in branch master.
Ok thx
