Hi,

What is musicdb or videodb ?

Is it "categories" (that contains music, TV, or films) ?

What does it give to tag (or not) a source ?

Thanks

It's library mode. The library is a database in code, commit messages aren't really supposed to be human readable.
Thanks althekiller, but is there any doc that I should read ?

If there is not any video that can be displayed when upnp server on, XBMC is useless for me
Add your music and videos to the library. See the online manual for how.

Once done, they'll be shared over upnp.
Reading the doc does not help

Here what i do :
  • Launch XBMC
  • Clic Video
  • Clic Add Source
  • Browse the correct dir
  • Add
=> OK I see the videos on XBMC
=> KO I can't see the videos on my remote UPNP player
Also :
  • Right click Source added
  • settings
  • clean library
  • update library on startup => enable
  • stop/start xbmc
=> OK I see the videos on XBMC
=> KO I can't see the videos on my remote UPNP player

So, it does NOT work correctly : i've got the same result
The logs are here :
for my xbmc : http://trac.xbmc.org/attachment/ticket/8031/xbmc.log
for my remote player : http://bugs.freeplayer.org/task/3431#comment12575

XBMC does not share the video for my player (child count 0)

What do I miss ??
You need to set content of the folder and choose scan automatically...
Thanks topfs2 Smile

already test it, I didn't say it...

it does not work, i've got the same issue...
1. Go to videos.
2. Hit "C" on your videos folder.
3. Select "Set content".
4. Set to movies, choose a scraper, set "Run scan automatically"
5. Wait for it to complete.

Please, read the manual.
Sorry, but no, it does not work : Even if I see videos in XBMC, they are not shared in UPnP...
Have you enabled Sharing the Libraries through UPnP?
I think so ... but please, would you confirm me the procedure ?
So, Is it a bug or not ?

Files are not shared in UPnP... it may be one finally !
