Kodi Community Forum - Host name for XBMC?

Where do you find the host name for connecting to xbmc via ftp?
does it also matter what port you use? I'm trying port 22.

Hi.

Port 22 is for SSH, port 21 is default for FTP.
Open a console and type ifconfig, that should give you the ip to use.

Thanks gekados. My mistake. I'm now able to connect but everything in the directory is locked?
I don't have permission to transfer files or create new directories? is there a way to get around this?
