Is there a way to set all 4:3 videos to play automatically (via an advanced setting or something) at 16:9?

This may not help much but you can set option in video playback to "allow error in aspect ratio to minimize black bars" to 20% and it will only leave you with a little a little bit of bars on the side. It will throw off your wider then 16:9 stuff though.

Also there is more then one way to fill the screen. Strech, crop, or a bit of both?
