Eventually my problem with this remote can be solved here.

My remote is this HAMA MCE Remote

but I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic.

So my Problem is described here:

so can anybody help me, or can I use the IR-Receiver from HAMA with my Logitech 525 remote ?

Try to set it up with this post, but don't use the phys-device, but the traditional device in REMOTE_DEVICE.

On my machine:

REMOTE_DEVICE="/dev/input/event3"

and

TRANSMITTER_DEVICE="/dev/input/event4"
