I have a 16GB USB flash drive which I can only transfer media files to it using NTFS. XBMC doesnt recognize the drive unless I format it to fat32, and loose all data on drive.
I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place...Can someone PLEASE help!!
Thanks
Under what OS can you not use FAT32 ? (eg. why do you need FAT32)

NTFS does not work well on the ATV. It's not impossible though. Have a look at nitoTV. You can run the smart installer with a recovery.dmg image from one of the early ATV's. See

You could always format it as hfs if you are worried about the 4gig limit of fat32.
