Hey everyone...

xbmc 9.11 / Confluence / xp sp2

...long story short, i'm trying to achieve the simplest task in xbmc, and can't seem to figure it out for the life of me. after reading through countless threads and searches, i approach you with my head hung low in shame. Sad

how the hell do you get new plugins to show up under programs?

for example, im trying to get launcher to work.
i add the folder to xbmc/plugins/programs/ directory
then i fire up xbmc, go to programs > add source > browse > program plugins
launcher should show up here, correct? all i ever get is svn repo installer
ive tested it with other plugins with no luck

ive tried also adding it manually to xbmc/userdata/sources.xml - i get nothing

what am i doing wrong? am i slow normal? a mental midget?

any help would be greatly appreciated. Huh
You have to copy the plugin to your userdata folder, should be something like
C:\Users\[YourUserName]\AppData\Roaming\Xbmc
and then into plugins and programs

Oh, and appdata might be hidden

Hope that helps
you sir, are a god among men. i knew it was something as simple as that.

thank you for the quick response - and the correct one at that.

fwiw, the path for any other ppl with the same question on xp is:

C:\Documents and Settings\[YourUserName]\Application Data\XBMC\plugins\Programs

thanks again don.
Looking at XBMCLive from a "doesn't know anything about computers" perspective the first question would be: "Why doesn't it show the program/script automatically? I installed it, so why isn't it there?"
