Hi,

I am about to buy a Revo and need to decide whether to go with the cheaper 3600 or the 3610 which have a SPDIF out (would prefer to not use SPDIF and get one less cable). There are a number of forum posts regarding HDMI audio relating to different XBMC versions etc with various tweaks and procedures to follow to get this working and I am not sure what information is still relevant

If someone could confirm if I will get Audio over HDMI connected directly to my TV when installing XBMC Live 9.11 it would be much appreciated

Thanks

Niclas
I'm not using XBMC Live, but I'm using XBMC 9.11 with Ubuntu 9.10 which should be almost identical. Audio over HDMI works perfectly. Just go into settings, enable AC3 and DTS passthrough, select "hdmi" for both audio devices, and disable downmixing.
Sounds good, many thanks
