svtplay.se started using "https" for their video urls and XBMC's ffmpeg is compiled without SSL support.
See http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=166897
Where can I find the fix for SVT Play 3.3.2, there are no update in xbmc? .........
Regards
Bj

Dear Khoda
Oh... that sounds not good... That means there is no use in 3.3.3. right? I mean I guess video´s is what we are watching most.
Old films, series and old dokumentaries are all video´s I guess?
Are you working on a fix for this as well?
I wish I had the skill to help but unfortunately not
Thanks in advance.
ffmpeg in XBMC is compiled without SSL support, there is nothing one can do within this addon to fix this.
It has to be done in XBMC/ffmpeg.
Google xbmc ffmpeg ssl (or hls or https) for more info.
Hey,
I compiled ffmpeg with SSL support, going roughly by the guide on
https://ffmpeg.org/trac/ffmpeg/wiki/Ubun...ationGuide
but adding --enable-openssl.
Now, I have a SSL-enabled build of ffmpeg, how could I link it into my installation of XBMC? Would I need to compile that myself, as well?
Edit: OK, I'm compiling xbmc with --enable-external-ffmpeg now, let's see how this works out...
Edit 2: Well, I'm stuck. I got ffmpeg installed in /usr, I figured this would work with the default flags to configure:
Code:
./configure --enable-external-ffmpeg
....
checking for main in -lcap... yes
checking for FFMPEG... no
configure: error: Could not find a required library. Please see the README for your platform.
I hope this question isn't too much OT, but could anyone please explain to me what the h#ck is the point for svt in forcing play to go over https? It isn't like it's internal corporate secrets they're streaming, is it?
/Daniel
Sorry, that is over my head... will there come a windows 64-bit solution of the svtplay-app?
